Chefs, bakers and brewers already know the properties of turmeric, garlic and ginger. Turmeric is the spice which gives curry its yellow colour and has been used in Eastern medicine for thousands of years to treat many health conditions. Science support its use, and many clinical studies have already proved turmeric's health benefits. The key compounds in turmeric are called curcuminoids which are strong antioxidants that have anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties.

Ginger is commonly used as a home remedy to soothe coughs and ease respiratory symptoms due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It can be consumed in various forms, including tea, candies, or added to food, and it's often combined with other ingredients like honey or lemon

Garlic is also commonly used as a natural remedy for coughs because of its antimicrobial and immune-boosting properties. Garlic contains allicin which contributes to these benefits.

Ingredients
1 c liquid raw, local honey
8 clv garlic, peeled
2 inches raw ginger root (peeled and chopped into medium-sized pieces)
1 inch raw turmeric (peeled and roughly chopped)
Instructions
  1. Fill a mason jar with garlic, turmeric, and ginger and add in enough honey to completely cover the spices. Screw on lid.
  2. Leave the jar exposed to light for two days to allow the mixture to infuse, then move it to the fridge where it will keep for thirty days.

Take 1 tsp of the honey mixture every few hours at the first sign of a sore throat, or take 1 tsp daily as preventative.
